Manohar Rathod, is an accomplished Indian artist known for his evocative figurative paintings that capture the essence of daily life in both rural and urban settings. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in painting from the esteemed Sir J.J. School of Art in Mumbai.

Rathod's artistic journey is marked by a series of accolades that highlight his talent and dedication. He has been honoured with several awards, including the Governor of Maharashtra Award, the K.K. Hebbar Art Foundation Award, a Silver Medal from Sir J.J. School of Art, the P.A. Dhond Award for Best Watercolor, the Raza Foundation Award for Best Watercolor, and recognition from the Art Society of India at Jehangir Art Gallery. Additionally, he received the Best Watercolor Award from the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (S.C.Z.C.) in Nagpur.

His art practice predominantly involves the use of acrylics on canvas, where he portrays vivid facets of social life, reflecting cultural nuances and the uniqueness of daily events. Rathod's works are characterised by their expressive, illustrative, and lucid nature, rendering a superb visual impact through their simplicity and picturesque quality.

Rathod has participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout his career, showcasing his work at venues such as the Singapore Art Fair, Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Centre Art Gallery, Lalit Kala Akademi, Art Society of India, Harmony Show, and the Bombay Art Society Exhibition. His paintings often depict scenes from everyday life, capturing the essence of both rural and urban experiences with a focus on cultural vignettes and social narratives.

Rathod's ability to translate the subtleties of human experiences into his art has made him a notable figure in contemporary Indian art, with his works resonating with audiences both domestically and internationally.
