Sudhir Talmale, born in 1964, is an Indian artist renowned for his abstract compositions that harmoniously integrate shape, line, and space. He completed his Master's degree in Fine Arts from Nagpur University in 1988.
Talmale's art practice emphasizes the use of simple geometric forms—such as squares, triangles, and rectangles—combined with lines to create dynamic visuals. His adept manipulation of color, repetition, and layering results in elaborate artworks that explore the interplay between consistency and experimentation. The contrast in his palette, ranging from vibrant turquoise to subdued brown, often relates to specific themes, with the consistent incorporation of white adding a unique dimension to his pieces.
Throughout his career, Talmale has participated in various exhibitions across India, including solo shows at:
South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, 1998
Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, 1999 and 2011
Nehru Centre, Mumbai, 1999
His contributions to the art world have been recognized with several awards, such as:
Nagpur University Diamond Jubilee Celebration Painting Certificate, 1985-86
First Prize at the Gondwana Jaycees Painting Exhibition, Nagpur, 1986-87
Third Prize at Kalavrund Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, 1986-87

Talmale's works are held in esteemed collections, including:

His artistic journey reflects a continuous evolution, with his inner strengths guiding his ongoing search and research in the realm of abstract art.
